Discovering the Perfect Font
Imagine browsing through the Apple website and noticing a sleek, modern font that captures your attention. You think to yourself, "That font would elevate the look of my website significantly." The good news? Extracting and using that font on your own site is simpler than you might think.
Step 1: Identifying the Font
The first step in this journey involves identifying the font used on the website. For this purpose, I highly recommend the "WhatFont" extension, a tool I've personally found invaluable for this task.
WhatFont: Your Font Discovery Tool
WhatFont is a Google Chrome extension that simplifies the process of identifying web fonts. Here's how to get started:
Download WhatFont: Search for the WhatFont extension in the Google Chrome store and add it to your browser.
Activate WhatFont: Navigate to the website whose font you wish to extract. In our case, we're using the Apple website as an example.
Identify the Font: With WhatFont activated, simply hover over the font you're interested in. Click on it, and a dialogue box will appear, revealing details like the font name – in our example, "SF Pro Display".
Step 2: Implementing the Font on Your Squarespace Website
After identifying the font, the next step is to incorporate it into your Squarespace site. I have detailed instructions (linked below) in a separate blog with a step-by-step tutorial on how to do so:

Finding and implementing the perfect font on your Squarespace website doesn't have to be a daunting task. With tools like WhatFont, the process becomes straightforward and accessible. Whether you're aiming for a modern, sleek look or something more traditional, the right font can make a significant difference in how your website is perceived.
Remember, the goal is not just to copy what others are doing but to find inspiration that aligns with your brand's identity. Happy font hunting!
