Step-by-Step Guide

1. Access the Image Block: First, navigate to the image you wish to edit on your Squarespace site. Click into the image block—double-clicking works best to get you into the editing mode swiftly.

2. Open Design Options: Once inside the image block, click on the "Design" option. This is where all the magic happens. You'll find various settings here to customize your image's appearance.

3. Select Image Effect: Look for the "Image Effect" option within the design settings. Clicking on this will reveal a slew of effects you can apply to your image. For this tutorial, we'll scroll down to the effect called 'Film Grain.'

4. Customize the Static Effect:

1. Here’s where you personalize the static effect to match your style:

   • Intensity: Adjusting this setting controls how quickly the static effect animates. Setting it around 75 gives a noticeable yet not overpowering effect.

   • Depth: This setting increases the visibility of the static. Adjust this to get the desired level of graininess in your static effect.

5. Final Adjustments:

After tweaking the settings to your liking, you can preview the effect right on your site. If you prefer the static look without continuous animation, simply turn off the animation feature in the same settings menu.
